BRIEF ONE - NATURA - LOOK BOOK CONTENT

After collecting information on each of the plants and cacti featured in the look book I had to review and summarise the relevant material so that it is ready to be featured in the look book. Included in the content write up was also a company introduction that will be placed within the first pages of the booklet to help communicate the companies ethos, identity and beliefs.

CONTENT -


INTRODUCTION -
There's nothing like the simple addition of a houseplant to a room to brighten up the space, revitalise its energy and improve air quality. Studies have proven that house plants are natural air purifiers and help to clear the atmosphere of harmful pollutants helping to create a tranquil and relaxing environment.

Here at natura we want you to bring the energy and beauty of nature into your home. No matter what the size of your space, we have a variety of beautiful plants and cacti perfectly suited for the varying requirements of our customers. Our product range consists exclusively of low maintenance plants and cacti handpicked by our knowledgeable team for their air cleaning abilities and striking aesthetics. 

At natura we are passionate about our indoor plants and so always endeavour to keep them nice and healthy. Before sending, all plants and cacti are preconditioned so that common problems associated with houseplants are avoided.


Yucca –
The Yucca plant is a genus of perennial shrubs and trees native to the hot, desert like terrain of South, and Central America. The Yucca is a very popular species of plant that will live in low light conditions and requires a minimal amount of care, making it the perfect choice for the contemporary home.


Aloe Vera –
Aloe Vera is a genus of the succulent plant species and is believed to originate in the dry climates of North Africa. The Aloe Vera plant is notable for its various healing properties, ability to clean and oxygenate air and the minimal amount of upkeep needed to care for the plant.


Maranta Prayer –
The Maranta Prayer is a genus of the Marantaceae flowering plants native to the South American tropics. The species is notable for its beautifully decorative leafs that have a rich colour and intricate pattern. The plant grows well in low light conditions and requires a minimal amount of upkeep.   


Dragon Tree –
The dragon tree is a genus of around forty trees and shrubs native to areas in Africa and South America. The Dragon Tree is a low maintenance plant that is gown all over the world due to its stature and elegant foliage.


Areca Palm –
The Areca Palm is a genus of Arecaceae palm plants native to Madagascar.  The species is notable for its bamboo like appearance and ability to grow over six foot tall. The species is requires a minimal amount of up keep but needs to be positioned in a bright space with lots of light. 


Cheese Plant -
The Cheese plant, or Swiss Cheese plant is a genus of flowering plants native to the tropics of South Mexico. The species is notable for its leaves that develop distinctive holes, its ability to grow to a height of over twenty foot and its effectiveness at cleaning and humidifying air. The plant grows well in low light conditions and requires a minimal amount of upkeep.  


Ruby Ball Cactus –
The ruby ball cactus, also known as the red cap cactus, is a species of cacti that isn’t naturally created but is instead grafted. The cactus is notable for its colourful red top which is known as a Gymnocalycium, the lower green cactus varies, and so could be a number of different species.


Barrel Cactus –
The Barrel Cactus is a species of cactus belonging to the ferocactus genus. The cactus is native to the dry, desert like conditions in Mexico and gets its name from its rounded shape. Like all cactuses, the Barrel cactus is easy to care for and requires little maintenance.   


Spurge –
The spurge, although it looks like a cactus and has spines is in fact a species of Euphorbia genus or specifically the Euphorbia aeruginosa. The plant flowers at certain times in the year and requires little maintenance to keep it healthy.
